Creative Writing
I have always enjoyed writing and was first 'published' aged 5 in the school magazine, when I wrote a story about a snail who used a strawberry every morning as her lipstick.
At various times I have attended creative writing courses run by the City Lit, based in London.
Quirky, surreal, short stories have become another 'creative outlet' for me in recent years.
Stories
Digging for Treasure - A Journey through the Astrological Symbolism of the Planets
This has been published on the website of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids in their collection of online resources. It is a fairytale of sorts, with further pages of in-depth explanation into the symbolism used.

A Fishy Tail - The Story of a Maidmer
The following is a weird and slightly dark/deranged story of a Maidmer (a round the wrong way Mermaid).
I also created the illustrations, which are basically line drawings, scanned into the computer and coloured using Photoshop, with digital photomontage backdrops.

Below are some of my illustrations with excerpts from the story - click on each image for more detail...

This story is now also available in physical form as an A5 size 'zine' - 12 pages (including cover), with 8 colour illustrations (as seen above).
